We are not waiting for summer to arrive, we are ready to hit up the beach now and be on the vacation of our lives! Post Covid vaccination that is.
The mainstay of any holiday staple is amazing swimsuits, so let’s begin.
Did you know that most swimsuits are made from plastic? We said it, it’s the truth. The two most renowned kinds of fabrics used to make swimsuits are nylon and polyester; both come from plastic. So, what are we trying to tell you? Does that mean you can’t wear swimsuits ever again? Of course not! That would be extreme. However, we are all determined to make smarter choices this year. We want you to seek out sustainable brands and Nothing But Net Body is one of the more daring and cuter ones.
Let’s talk about eco-friendly swim fabrics first though!
One of the most amazing eco-friendly materials is ECONYL – it’s regenerated nylon from pre and post-consumer products. To make ECONYL, waste like fishing nets, fabric scraps, and carpet flooring is used in a regeneration and purification process. Then, the nylon is processed and turned into a new swimwear fabric. Our new line uses ECONYL to the hilt with our new ECO♻️ Collection.
Other types of recycled swimwear fabrics, such as REPREVE, are also made from recycled plastic bottles. EcoLux, another grade is another term for recycled nylon fibers.
We are hoping that with this responsible information, you might consider avoiding plastic at all costs in the coming years. You could invest in a yarn bathing suit, or biodegradable or better yet Nothing But Net Body Spring Summer 2021.
